Budget talks are progressing but negotiators have yet to come to an agreement on liquor privatization.
Judging by our poll results that shouldn’t be a surprise.
This question broke the site’s record for votes in a reader poll and the final tally was incredibly close, with both sides securing 50%.
Those in favor, though, edged ahead with 1,933 votes.
Meanwhile 1,915 respondents are against privatizing the state’s liquor industry.

There’s no need to privatize the state liquor stores. Gene DiGirolomo’s proposal last year would be the best outcome, if enacted.
None of the proposals truly are “privatization.” Privatization would be to have a private company enter each State Store, under contract, and run it. THESE proposals are for a new kind of license, a new kind of licensing, and a new kind of license allocation. ALL, without solving the main question, which is when will we be able to buy wine and beer in grocery stores?

“Reader Poll: Pennsylvanians Narrowly Support Liquor Privatization”
Hehehe. Because PPA is representative of Pennsylvanian views. . .
Online polls are meaningless since there are no controls. Every scientific poll taken in the last 40 years shows the citizens want to be rid of the state store system.
Wouldn’t be Respondents, or Politcspa readers? your poll wasn’t really “Pennslyvanians”
