QUESTION: What is the most dangerous place to be?
CHOICES:
1. Standing between Leach and a television camera.
2. Standing between Leach and a marijuana joint.
3. Standing between Leach and logic.
ANSWER: Obviously all of the above. Both D and R collegues in the Senate laugh at Leach’s ridiculous positions and they do it behind his back. He is not taken seriously by anyone in Harrisburg.
He is an extremist and extreme positions whether left-wing or right-wing do not work in today’s environment.
Mr. Sumner,
You seem like a great, well educated guy. I am always told not to waste my time replying to people like you, who tell blatant lies and ridiculous exaggerations to get attention. I think this is what you meant to say:
QUESTION: What is the best place to be?
Choices:
1. Standing next to Leach as he uses his wit and incredible public speaking skills to fight passionately for an issue he cares about in front of a television camera.
2. Standing next to Leach as he hugs the parents of children being treated by medical marijuana after his bill for legalization passed.
3. Standing next to Leach as he exemplifies the true progressive values that will help people across the country.
Despite my undeniable bias, those choices seem a bit more accurate than yours 🙂
The Democrats will lose whatever moral high ground they claim to hold if they run Leach. He’s every bit as brash and vulgar as Trump.
Nothing Daylin’s ever said or done is as “vulgar” as denying people affordable health insurance, under-funding schools, covering up for polluters, or denying workers a living minimum wage.
The worst out of multiple elected GOP mouths is the claim that women who got pregnant being raped weren’t “really raped” and must have liked it, because they would produce some contraceptive hormone during a “real rape”.
That’s vulgar.
Is that really the best rebuttal you can give?
David E. Twiggs-
Your characterization of Daylin’s daughter is completely off base. She has been interested in politics for years and she even delivered a pretty funny speech introducing her dad at a Montco when she was like 10 years old. She is very comfortable with public speaking (and she’s actually funnier and has better comic timing than her dad). She’s also involved in her school government.
But, as far as asking Hillary a question, the explanation is far more innocent than the right-wing conspiracy machine would have you believe (and you apparently swallow conspiracies by the bucket). Whenever they open the floor for questions to a seated audience, there is always a big pause because people are reluctant to go first.
So, she’s a smart kid who was aware of the pause and made a point of jumping in before the grownups worked up the nerve to go first. It really is that simple. She wasn’t hand-picked to be called on. She just stood up first.
Sadly, you are a very poor example for your children, demeaning a young teenage girl like Daylin’s daughter. Shame on you. Grow up.
Thank you Mr. Diano! I really appreciate you standing up for me!! YOU are the type of person this man’s kids should be learning from 🙂
Daylin’s constituents would love for him to run for Congress ONLY if he resigns his senate seat. That way, we will be rid of him for good as he will certainly lose the congressional race.
The example he sets for my children is: bragging about getting stoned in Colorado; cursing out our President; setting his daughter up to ask Hillary a placed question on national tv and denying it was a set-up. He is to the left of Babette Josephs and that is somewhere between Hawaii and Tokyo.
Actually Mr. Twiggs, as Daylin’s daughter, I have a couple things to say about your comments.
1. My dad did not “brag” about “getting stoned” in Colorado. He went to Colorado with several staff members to get a better understanding of the medical marijuana production process. The publicity my dad’s trip to Colorado received brought attention to an important issue. Legalizing medical marijuana is already saving the lives of children across the state.
2. The language my dad used in his tweet was more appropriate than the language the President of the United States uses on a daily basis. What did your “children” think when Donald Trump wanted to “grab women by the p*ssy”?
3. Well I can tell you quite frankly that I was not set up by anyone to ask Hillary a question. I came up with that question on my own. You are clearly a father, so I honestly find it insulting that you suggest that kids aren’t intelligent and involved enough to have their own opinions on political issues. Have some respect for the future of this party.
4. Yes, my dad is a progressive democrat. That doesn’t seem to be a problem for the thousands of people who vote him into office every four years.
5. My dad works tirelessly. Once a year, we take a family vacation. Again, since this is all about the “message” my dad sends to your kids, I would think that family time is a value you would encourage.
Next time you accuse a politician of “setting a bad example for your children”, why don’t you stop and think about the one you’re setting yourself. I am a child, and though I may be biased, I find Daylin Leach’s hard work, humor, and passion have made me into the educated and intelligent young woman I am today.
Agree that Sen. Leach is entertaining, articulate, smart and witty, but he’s also far left and would not prove to be a great vote getter in the center-right 7th District. Pat Meehan fits the district like a glove.
I agree with Mama Bear. Who cares. However,if he were to win it would be interesting to watch Daylin Leach and Brendan Boyle fight over getting on the local news. Both are consummate self promoters and publicity hogs.
Daylin is both smart and witty and we need someone of his caliber representing us in Congress.
What planet do you live on??? If smart and witty were the sole qualifications to be in Congress, than we should nominate Jim Carrey.
Daylin is a Fruit Loop he is to the left of Gengus Kahn he moves to any District where someone is sick or dying so he can run for office . He thinks everything is one big Joke . Daylin should no more be in Congress than Charles Manson should be in Congress . We have enough wack jobs in Congress we dont need one more
I didnt know Gengus Kahn was a liberal.
Where’s the “who cares” option?
That button is for election day.
