We’ve reached another election day, which means it’s once again time to ponder the effect money has on our political system.
That was just the question we posed to our readers last week.
In a post-Citizen United landscape, we saw more money spent by Super PACs in the Philly Mayoral race, for example, than by the candidates themselves.
Over three-quarter of our respondents, 362, feel the organizations are seriously harming our political system.
95 readers feel the influence of Super PACs is overblown while fourteen people were unsure.
The full results are included below:
What Do You Think of Super PACs?
- Super PACs are seriously harming our political system (77%)
- The influence of Super PACs is small and the media is blowing this out of proportion (20%)
- I’m not sure (3%)
