With the recent premiere of Allyson Schwartz’s first commercial, every Democratic hopeful for Governor has now made it to the small screen.
As a result, it seems like the perfect time to ask which of their potential running mates will be the first to join them.
So far, only Mark Smith’s campaign has released a web video yet Mike Stack has an impressive $700,000 cash on hand.
Until that first ad comes, though, there’s no way to know for sure so we thought we’d ask you our readers for your prediction.
Note: No, this isn’t deja vu, we did run this poll once before. Due to site issues, though, we were unable to compile any votes for our polls so we’re going to give this question another shot.
So, which Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor do you believe will be the first to advertise on TV?
Will tonight's U.S. Senate debate affect your decision?
- No. I've already decided on how to cast my vote. (81%)
- Yes. Anxious to hear from both candidates (19%)

The combined votes of Critz and Neuman will win this.
I think this poll could also be titled “Do our readers understand how money works?”
So far the results seem to be:
Yes: 58%
No: 42%
Mr Critz has a lovely family. It was a shock when he lost the Congressional seat even though he was very clear that he supported taking away our privacy rights, torture of detainees held for years without charges or trial, wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and Libya and Syria and drone killings of even American citizens just on the judgment of a g 6 analyst with the CIA. I am certain that his Washington experience will greatly help Pennsylvania adapt to the new reality of a police state.
You have to like Mr. Critz in this election. Does he have the most money? No. Does he have the most charisma? No. Does he have statewide recognition? No. What he has are the issues that appeal to voters like me: he is pro-gun, pro-life, pro-fracking, and pro traditional marriage with all that says about gender roles. Mr. Critz represents the bedrock of the democratic party here in the backwoods. The issues are why he has the support of all the prominent political leaders in the West who believe as Mr Critz does that the future of our party lies in our values of the past.
Neuman will pull bigger numbers in Washington County the only place Critz will do well is in Johnstown he was not well liked in his old district and can’t even raise money or support.
Critz has a pr machine that makes people believe he is supported but the numbers at voter turn out have never been there except in Johnstown! He is well known anywhere else in the state! And his issues with democratic women will hurt him!
You will be surprised when Koplinski pulls this out.
Stack has three advantages: 1) money 2) higher than state-wide turnout in philly suburbs because of competitive congressional primaries 3) the ant-philly vote will be split among the other 3 candidates. With that said I predict:
Stack 41%
Critz 29%
Koplinski 12%
Neuman 11%
Smith 7%
@skeptic and you probably have schwartz winning also. critz will win this race its called name recognition with a 20 to 25 percent turnout i agree stack will win out east, but those numbers wont carry him across rest of the state.he is not gonna waste his money in pgh media market, he knows pgh dont vote for philly candidates he comes in second.
Seriously, you can’t be serious. Mike Stack will likely win every media market except Johnstown/Altoona based on his ability to spend.
Stack will run away with the Southeast that will have an unusually high turnout due to races for Congress and gubernatorial candidates who hail from there. It is likely he will get more than 50% of the statewide vote.
Mark Smith has enough money to run strong in at least two media markets if he spends it wisely and Brandon Neuman has the cash to do well in the Pittsburgh market and take a serious bite out of Critz.
Critz has enough cash to pay his consultants. And Koplinski has enough money to pay turnpike tolls for his travel.
Order of finish will be:
Stack 52%
Critz 17%
Smith 14%
Neuman 10%
Koplinski 7%
Brad is really a nice guy who will live up to the adage about how nice guys finish.
This is how the Lt. Governors race will turn out.
Mark Critz 36%
Mike Stack 32%
Brad Kolpinski 13%
Brandon Neuman 11%
Mark Smith 8%
This is how the election results will turn out also
Which Lt. Gov. candidate will air the first TV ad?
Mike Stack (57%)
Brandon Neuman (16%)
Mark Critz (10%)
Brad Koplinski (9%)
Mark Smith (8%)
