Reader Poll: Which PA Politico Gave the Best Convention Speech?

Ann Romney’s speech got newscasters talking last week, and Bill Clinton blew the lid off the DNC Wednesday night.

There were good speeches, and there were so-so speeches.

And there were speeches from Pennsylvania speakers, too. Some of the state’s top politicos spoke at both the RNC last week and the DNC this week.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter blasted Romney and discussed the importance of education.

PA-12 GOP candidate Keith Rothfus called for the repeal of Obamacare.

Former Sen. Rick Santorum knocked Obama and discussed the American Dream.

Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D-Montco) touted the benefits of Medicare.

But someone may have done it better than the rest.

So tell us, readers:

Which PA Politico Gave the Best Convention Speech?

  • Former Sen. Rick Santorum (41%)
  • Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D-Montco) (25%)
  • Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter (21%)
  • PA-12 GOP candidate Keith Rothfus (13%)

  1. Santorum. He remembers the way this country is supposed to be. He remembers the ethics and values that made it the most successful country on earth. The Founding Fathers designed it to operate to allow reward based on merit, unlike the class systems of Europe. But they knew that it would stand or fail based on the moral makeup of the voters. They knew it required law abiding, God fearing people, traits which the current Democratic Party thinks are passe. Santorum remembers, and he reminded the country of it too.
