  1. Nominate Gary Day, Rep. in the 187th, perfect Republican candidate, I think he would toe the required line.

  2. Any move to replace Dent is shortsighted. He’s the only GOP who can win the district. For those that whine about the Trump agenda, won’t it be harder with Democrats in control of the House? With those DEMs seeking impeachment.

    1. Trump wins the district because Lehigh Valley Democrats like him — they know he’s on their side — but he can be beaten in a primary by the right opponent. Justin Simmons isn’t it. He doesn’t have enough integrity to keep a simple campaign promise to term limit himself.

    1. As a Trump supporter, you should have no interest in the polls. Polls like this PoliticsPA poll are “Fake News” no?

      1. As someone who volunteered for Todd Eagen, I can tell you these polls worth as much as the paper they’re not printed on.

        1. Thank god. If polls were right we’d have Hilary Clinton as President and Katie McGinty in the Senate.

        2. Charlie would have loved that outcome? LOL WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE ON!? Charlie is good friends with Senator Toomey? Read a newspaper.

  3. What a joke. Just because Dent is pragmatic, realistic, and not folding to the absurd Trump agenda, he’s all of a sudden on the chopping block?! Justin Simmons is an alt-right, know-nothing, nut job with a Napoleon complex. He tries to model himself after Trump or even Scott Wagner, but doesn’t have the presence or personality to do so. No one in Harrisburg has any respect for him, and that’s if they even know who he is.

  4. The question was who “should” they nominate, not who “will” they. They should nominate Dent…it’s an easy win and then go after him next time if you are angry. The fact is that PA Republicans have enough Congressional fights (Costello, Fitzpatrick, Meehan) on their hands without adding another. Why lose what, right now, is a safe seat?

    1. Stupid reasoning. Trump won this district by 8 points. Barring a huge wave or scandal it’s a Republican seat.

    2. BUT HE’S NOT REPUBLICAN!!!! HE’S FIGHTING ‘AGAINST’ THE REPUBLICAN AGENDA!!!!!

    3. We desperately need someone running against Dent. He has not supported President Trump on many key issues, and was an embarrassment when Trump was running against Hillary. You might think Dent is an easy win, but if he acts like a Democrat and continues to undermine Trump, I would rather have a Democrat in the seat acting that way.

  5. Dent is totally blocking the agenda we voted for and you want to complain that Simmons ran for one additional term in order to get done what he set out to do? LOL…. Simmons is an honorable man with a proven conservative track record who has often stood alone against the establishment GOP. The only people bashing Simmons are those who fear he’ll beat Dent the compromiser, which he does hands down.

  6. Justin Simmons is a joke. He broke his term limit pledge and now he needs congress because its the only way he could make more money. He would never be able to get a job in the real world.

    1. And Dent broke his 7 year pledge to repeal and replace Obamacare. He needs to be in Congress to bail out banks and insurance companies with federal tax dollars.

    2. I’m sorry. Am I missing something here? When has Dent ever had a real job? Charlie Dent is a 26 year career politician. He’s been in office as long as Justin has been alive. He collects 2 pensions from the state that equal $16,000 year. The national debt has doubled under his watch. What meaningful piece of legislation has he passed in his 26 years?

This is the problem for Charlie this time. There is literally so much to hit him. People aren’t getting distracted this time Charlie.
