Reed Pleads Guilty to Taking Artifacts

Stephen-ReedIt was all just an oversight.

That’s former Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed’s explanation for how he ended up with that suit of armor and other historical artifacts in his house.

According to Matt Miller of the Patriot-News, Reed is pleading guilty to 20 counts of receiving stolen property (he was facing 112 charges, down from 144 and the original 499).

“How they got into some box when moving out of office seven years ago, I don’t know,” he said. “The process of packing was done under my supervision and I therefore must take responsibility for the items to which I am pleading.”

Reed’s home was initially raided by agents from the AG’s Office in June 2015.

  1. June 2015 would place that raid within Kathleen Kane term at AG. She seems to deserve another thank you for cleaning up corruption. Let’s see now: 2 PA Supreme Court justices, a mayor, soon to be ex-Philly DA, some dirty legislators, etc.

Now if somebody would just take Robert Graci out of protecting corrupt judges and lift his law license…..
