Ed Rendell tells @HallieJackson his advice for @HillaryClinton RE: the 1st Debate, including "Smile more." https://t.co/RP5sQJMeUz

Ed Rendell is one of the most prominent Democratic surrogates on cable news these days although it’s difficult to ascertain why exactly that is.
By our count, Rendell has gone off-script five times since just June.
On MSNBC this afternoon, the former Governor was asked about Monday’s debate.
“I think she [Hillary] can also be funny and I hope she will be,” Rendell stated.
“Was that advice you’ve given her,” MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson asked.
“Yeah, I actually agree with Reince Priebus, smile more,” Rendell responded.
Jackson noted that Priebus “took a lot of heat” for that tweet, including from the Democratic nominee herself.
“But if Trump says something stupid, I would just have a big smile on my face and then zing him. Zing him with a smile on your face,” Rendell concluded.
In May, Rendell became a national joke after his comments to Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel that “there are probably more ugly women in America than attractive women.”

Exactly.
Can’t someone from the Clinton campaign have the full time job of following Rendell around and shoving a hoagie in his mouth whenever he opens it to speak?
