Report: Ellis Under Investigation for Alleged Assault

The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that state Rep. Brian Ellis (R-Butler) is under criminal investigation into allegations that he had sex with a woman while she was “incapacitated and without her consent, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the inquiry.”

The alleged assault had taken place in late 2015 in his Harrisburg residence.

The Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office has opened the criminal investigation.

The Inquirer and Daily News and The Caucus are withholding the woman’s name because the newspapers do not identify victims of alleged sexual assault unless they agree to be named.

PoliticsPA is also seeking comment from the office of Rep. Ellis.

But then, why did it take 4 years to surface? Did the woman file rape charges? Did she get a payoff? Or demand a payoff? Let’s get the whole story.
