Republican Declares Challenge to Solobay

The 46th Senatorial District is a top priority for Republicans in 2014, and they’ve now named their challenger.

Camera Bartolotta announced her intention to seek the Republican nomination in the Western PA seat. The 46th District has been represented by Sen. Tim Solobay (D-Washington) since 2011. Prior to that, he was a member in the House of Representatives for ten years.

This will be Bartolotta’s first run for public office.

“For too long, the career politicians continue to tax more and spend more while our families lose jobs and our seniors lose their retirement savings,” Bartolotta said. “I will put the needs of taxpayers and our families first by helping the private sector create jobs, bringing fiscal discipline to state government, ensuring a strong education for children and restoring public trust in local government and in Harrisburg.”

She is a small business owner and former PTA vice president. In her campaign announcement, she highlighted the importance of what her campaign calls “local Western Pennsylvania values.”

“I am pro-life and I am a strong supporter of our Second Amendment rights.  And when these issues are threatened in Harrisburg by liberal legislators or special interests, I will fight to protect them.”

Solobay’s district represents all of Greene County, most of Washington and some of Beaver. He won the seat in 2010 by 6 points after a million dollar race for the open seat.

The seat is one of two targets that the Republicans have for this year, and it is a little bit of a reach. Romney won the district 54% to 46%, while Casey won 51% to 49%.

  1. An individual’s character will eventually be seen…no matter how much those in power want to hide the truth.
Camera Bartolotta has been nothing but a kind caring woman that has no NEED for this office, other than a desire to make a difference.
The Tim Solobay that was once admired has long disappeared. Obsessed with power, the man that once existed has disappeared. It is no longer about the public, but his ego, his desire and his power. People have seen that and in the end, if not this election cycle, eventually the truth will win out.

  2. Filthy and baseless attacks on Senator Solobay’s reputation while Mom’s closet is chock full of scandals, ethical lapses & skeletons? Granted that is her modus operandi, one which we can’t wait to turn back on her. Thanks to sonny boy for opening the door.

  3. This election is a referendum on Solobay’s effectiveness in Harrisburg. The truth is this guy is incompetent. 2 years ago he sponsored a state-wide law creating a moratorium on property tax re-assesments that only applied to Washington County. It was ruled unconstitutional 2 seconds later. He also sponsored a games of chance bill that was supposed to help non-profit organizations. The only problem was that it ended up hurting those organizations and is still being worked on. Regardless of the rumors about this guy’s personal life, at the end of the day he is an incompetent, junior senator of the minority party and he clearly has a problem w/ women.

  4. Hey Solobay supporters, while you’re busy attacking a widow and women in general, have you ever heard of the name Amy Durbin – nurse in Canonsburg? Ask Timmy about his relationship with her and what tragically happened, she was the same girlfriend that rode on the Consol Energy Plane with him to Texas to the Superbowl.

  5. Truth has a habit of cutting through the propaganda that so many wish to post.
    1. You can actually watch Lucifer’s Unholy Desire on amazon direct http://www.amazon.com/Lucifers-Unholy-Desire-Doug-Bradley/dp/B00DTFCM0O/ref=sr_1_1?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1390754753&sr=1-1&keywords=lucifer%27s+unholy+desire

    2. The film stars Doug Bradley from Hellraiser

    3. The film has not been screened in Washington County

    4. Pro Wrestling is the 2nd most watched event in the US after NASCAR and PA is the most popular state
    5. GOP has long history with WWE…Ask Rick Santorum
    6. No one is naked in Lucifer’s Unholy Desire…but you can watch the film and see that…and in turn learn to not trust those that have an agenda to pursue.

Here is a wild point…lets talk about issues facing the residents of the 48th district…instead of continuing the politics of the past that make everyone involved look like children…or is that asking too much.

I was the director of the film as a point of disclosure.

  6. Observer – good thing you cleared that up: Camera Bartolotta is using her dead husband’s money to find her soft porn slasher films. Tag line of Camera’s movie Lucifer’s Unholy Desires : “I want your seed!” screamed lustily to the devil.
    Top is removed and theres a lot of woman- devil sex. Camera herself hosting viewings of the movie in Washington county, so why not talk about it? It’s perfectly valid to ask;
Are Those are Camera Bartolotta’s “Western Pennsylvania values” she references in her campaign announcement?

  7. Topless…

    How crazy can you be?

Let’s start with “her ex-husband’s bank account” — do you mean her deceased husband? You know, because she’s a widow whose husband died from cancer…not exactly an “ex.” That’s despicable you would even say such a thing.

Or, calling an unrated movie X-Rated…when it’s clearly not.

I haven’t seen the movie, but you seem awfully excited about her shirt coming off.

    Wait? Is this Tim Solobay?

  8. Her next movie is pro wrestlers vs. zombies. That should give her a ton of credibility. Not someone who the Senate Republicans would normally recruit.

  9. Camera Bartolotta played a starring role in a recent X- rated slasher film “Lucifer’s Unholy Desires” filmed in Washington County underwritten by her ex-husbands bank account. You can’t make this stuff up, it’s listed on IMDB! In case you’re wondering, yes Camera DOES take her shirt off. Skirt, too. Diana Irey Vaughn was passed over for the role because Camera is more talented in such things.

  10. Congratulations, Ms. Bartolotta, your stated positions on the Second Amendment and abortion have exactly zero difference from Sen. Solobay’s… perhaps you should try a different tact?
