The Republican Governors Association (RGA) is investing $31.4 million for major TV buys in five states that feature crucial gubernatorial races.
Notably, Pennsylvania is not among the five states.
The TV buy is in Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin, according to a press release. In four of those states, Democrats are defending first-term governors.
In Arizona, where sitting GOP governor Doug Ducey is term-limited, the RGA has reserved $10.2 million in ad time in the state’s largest cities – Phoenix and Tucson. The airtime begins August 3, following the primary election the previous day.
Elsewhere, the Association has allocated $8 million in Nevada, $6.2 million in Wisconsin, and $3.5 million in both Kansas and Michigan. All of the reserved time begins on the Wednesday following Labor Day (September 7).
Typically, the early bookings allows organizations to secure the lowest possible rates in important media markets.
“The RGA is committed to investing in these states to ensure Americans know life is better when a Republican governor is in charge,” said David Rexrode, the RGA’s executive director.

Its most unfortunate that this website attracts comments, such as above, which add nothing to the civil discourse which Pennsylvania, and the rest of the country, sorely need.
RGA stands for Real Giant Assholes. DeathSantis is the biggest asshole.
