Republicans Still Lukewarm To Mail Ballots

Mail-In Ballot

Despite a call from the Republican Party of Pennsylvania to “Bank Your Vote,” the pleas have mostly fallen on deaf ears among Keystone State GOP voters.

According to data from the Pennsylvania Department of State, just 180,818 applications for vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots were received prior to yesterday’s deadline. On the flip side, Democrats still favor the option with 671,447 applications for the ability to cast a vote by mail – or 72.1 percent of all applications – while non-affiliated or members of another party applied for 78,880 ballots.

Just under 11 percent of all registered voters have opted for the mail-in option as of November 1.
