Vermont Senator and former Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders was in Pittsburgh Saturday to rally against the Senate GOP’s healthcare bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA).
According to KDKA, about 1,600 people attended the rally in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
“This bill is a moral outrage. It must be defeated and together we will do just that,” Sanders said during the rally.
The rally was part of a bus tour Sanders is doing organized by MoveOn.org.
Sanders urged Senator Pat Toomey, a member of the working group that wrote the BCRA, to vote against the bill.
“Senator Toomey, please vote no when this bill comes before us in the Senate.”
The BCRA could be voted on as early as this week.

Should he not be consulting with his lawyers before he and his wife are convicted of bank fraud and politically putting pressure on a bank to give his wife a loan? Toomey probably cares about Bernie Sanders more than he cares about the citizens of PA.
I’m sure that’s going to work. If there’s one thing that Pat Toomey cares about, it’s a rally held by the junior senator from Vermont.
