State Rep. Mike Regan will almost certainly be sitting in the State Senate this time next year, after knocking off three other candidates to replace long-time lawmaker Pat Vance.
Regan picked up 52% of the vote (26,740), with former Philadelphia Eagle Jon Ritchie coming in second with 31% (15,737).
Camp Hill dentist Brice Arndt finished third (7,194) in the four-man race, while York County attorney Scott Harper received only 1,457 votes.
Regan will run unopposed in November.
The 31st Senate District covers parts of Cumberland and York Counties.
