State Rep. Ryan Aument is one step closer to moving up to the upper house of the PA legislature.
Aument has won the Republican nomination in PA’s 36th Senate District.
The State Rep. was going against fellow member of the lower house, Gordon Denlinger. Aument, however, received the party’s support.
At this time, Aument currently has 5,732 or 64% of the vote. Denlinger, meanwhile has only 3,163 and 34% of the vote.
The 36th is a generally Republican district and Aument should be the front-runner in November. He will face Democratic nominee Gary Schreckengost.
