Second Quarter Reports: Meehan Leads Incumbents in Cash on Hand

Congressional MapsPennsylvania’s Congressional delegation’s war chests are continuing to grow, as more and more people look to challenge the incumbents.

In total, Pennsylvania’s incumbents have $13,284,780.34 cash on hand (COH) moving into the second half of the year.  This is over $3 million more than the COH total from the first quarter.

Below is a breakdown of each incumbents COH from the second quarter:

<

For the second quarter in a row, Congressman Pat Meehan (R-Delaware) leads all the incumbents in COH, with $2,337,398.11.  Meehan’s COH will help him as he will likely face a well funded opponent next fall, with at least five in the race to challenge him.

Congressman Dwight Evans (D-Philadelphia) currently holds the least COH with $110,093.17.  Barring a primary challenge, Evans will not likely need a large amount of money, in 2016 for the open seat, he received 90% of the vote.
