The 2015 Pennsylvania Progressive Summit in Harrisburg has just added a new keynote speaker to the lineup.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders will be speaking at the conference which takes place on February 6th and 7th at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel.
The appearance is part of an effort by Sen. Sanders to stoke the fire of a possible presidential run in 2016.
He is currently serving his second term in the US Senate after capturing 71 percent of the vote in his 2012 reelection. While an Independent, the Senator does caucus with the Democrats. Previously, Sanders held a seat in the US House of Representatives for 16 years, making him the longest serving independent in US Congressional history.
Further details about the conference and registration can be found here.

Radnor – I think you’d be more at home with the fascists (cough) I mean Republicans.
Or maybe we can skip the sophomoric Cold War rhetoric. It’s amazing how many people use the term “socialist” without actually knowing what it means.
Where’s the socialism?
Where do I get my tickets to see my favorite socialist and sit with my fellow socialists (cough) I mean democrats?
Is there a good reason this “article” assiduously omits the fact that Sanders self-identifies as a Socialist?
Love him. A true patriot and one of the few in D.C. not dedicated to the wealthy 1% who have purchased and taken over this country, especially in the last election, and that was because of the Roberts Court, the worst-ever blight on America.
Republicans are bought and paid for to represent the wealthy, their corporations, and the ubiquitous Koch Brothers.
Republicans are not going to be doing any governing, they are governed by their donors.
Google what products the Kochs produce and stop buying them.
