WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) toured the site of the Allentown explosion this morning, meeting with Police Chief Roger MacClean, Fire Chief Robert Scheirer and Economic Development Director Sara Hailstone.
“I am saddened by the loss of lives in Allentown yesterday, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Allentown affected by the tragic explosion,” Sen. Toomey said. “I spoke with Police Chief MacClean, Fire Chief Scheirer and Economic Development Director Hailstone today and have offered to help in any way that I or my staff can be of service. In this time of tragedy, I am heartened that the community of Allentown has pulled together to help one another and start the process of rebuilding, and I am inspired by the dedication and professionalism of our emergency responders in this difficult situation.”
