Josh Shapiro is finishing by emphasizing his plan to fight the commonwealth’s heroin epidemic.
“In Pennsylvania, a packet of heroin can be cheaper than a six-pack of beer,” Shapiro begins. “And prescription painkillers are too easy to get.”
“As the head of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime, I’ve helped local communities fund drug treatment programs to save our kids,” he continues. “As Attorney General, I’ll crack down on the drug dealers and stop the overprescribing of opioid painkillers.”
Shapiro then touts his endorsements from the Philly FOP and other law enforcement groups.
“This is a fight we can’t afford to lose,” he concludes.
The thirty-second spot, titled “Cheaper”, is the final commercial for the Democratic nominee for Attorney General.

When Rafferty gets blown out I wonder who will get the blame? Asher? Gleason? DiGiorgio? Long? All of the above? Pennsylvania politics rarely sees a campaign as inept as Rafferty’s. It’s almost like the sate GOP put his name on the ballot because they just had to run someone. Is it it too early to talk about who replaces him in the senate?
Trump and Toomey are LOSERS.
Shapiro knows how to run a big government agency. Montgomery County government is four times the size of the AGs Office. He is not Kane in the slightest. The AG does not personally handle cases in court. The AG runs a government agency. Kane did not know how to do that. No comparison at all. Shapiro will win big for many reason, not least of which Rafferty has run a terrible campaign. But, to be fair, the GOP cannot ever win a statewide race every again because of the incompetent candidate selection that has gone on for the last dozen years or so. When Toomey falls, except for a few holdover judges at the state level, the Ds will control every statewide office from now until the end of time. As reliably Blue as NY or CA. The Republican State Committee is to blame for all of this. Once the census comes around again and the legislative seats are redrawn, the GOP will lose that too. But, what the heck? By then Gleason and Asher et al will be long gone taking the party to their graves with them.
Has anyone advised Shapiro what actually happens inside a courtroom yet? Shapiro is Kathleen Kane all over again. It’s amazing that he is even being considered for AG.

Not likely, considering he doesn’t even seem to have a campaign and the GOP is totally screwed by Trump on the ticket. Also, Rafferty is from Montco too, so that doesn’t help him in the rest of the state.

Who wants to bet that when Josh runs for Gov, he’ll use AG job to tout how he cracked down on drug dealers, with a nearly identical commercial?
(I even wonder if he’s tried to save money by filming his Gov spots at the same time he’s filming the AG spots.) LOL 🙂
