Congressman Bill Shuster (R-Bedford) announced this morning that his Communications Director Casey Contres is leaving his office to work for Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO). Joey Brown, Shuster’s Legislative Correspondent, is being promoted to Press Secretary.
“Throughout [Contres’] tenure in the office, he has shown an unwavering commitment to communicating policies that benefit our region. I want to thank him for his time serving the 9th district and wish him the best of luck in the future,” Shuster said in a release announcing the change.
“I’m confident that [Brown] will do a great job as Press Secretary in the months ahead as we work with President Trump’s Administration on advancing legislation that benefits Pennsylvanians.”
Brown started off as a staff assistant for Shuster’s office in 2016.
“I am excited to share their progress with my neighbors back home in central and southwestern Pennsylvania,” Brown said.

I love how this site doesn’t even pretend not to be a right-wing rag sheet anymore! Thanks for your transparency, Paul Engelkemier.
I guess Contres finally got tired of having to explain why his boss is dating a lobbyist.
Any relation to Judge Joe Brown?
Because this is a GOP rumor rag sheet. Did you miss the posting on who might be in the running for Trump chief of staff post, which is still occupied?
how is this newsworthy
