Solomon Claims $1M On Hand For Attorney General Campaign

Jared Solomon

It’s a good seven-figure start.

Rep. Jared Solomon (D-Philadelphia) announced that his campaign is starting the new year with over $1 million on hand in his quest for the Democratic nomination for state Attorney General.

“We’re seeing strong support for Rep. Solomon’s message of protecting fundamental abortion and voting rights while building safer communities for all, and our campaign is in the best position to reach primary voters across Pennsylvania’s expensive TV media markets,” said campaign manager Jake Sternberger.

The strong fundraising from Solomon comes on the heels of two major labor union endorsements he received last week from the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776 and the Philadelphia Firefighters and Paramedics Union Local 22.

Solomon is in contention for the nomination along with four other Democrats – former state Auditor General Eugene DePasquale, former federal prosecutor Joe Kahn, Keir Bradford-Grey, the former head of Philadelphia’s and Montgomery County’s public defense lawyers, and Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer.

On the Republican side, York County District Attorney Dave Sunday and former federal prosecutor Katayoun “Kat” Copeland have announced their candidacies for the position.
