SP&R Poll: Trump, Wolf, and Casey All Underwater

SPQRThe latest Susquehanna Polling and Research poll could have gone better for President Donald Trump, Governor Tom Wolf, and Senator Bob Casey.

The poll, commissioned by WHTM, puts all three underwater heading into 2018.

53% of registered voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing, while 37% approve.  These results are in line with the latest F&M poll showing 53% of Pennsylvanians said Trump was doing a “poor” job.

Wolf does not fare much better in the poll, with 50% of voters saying someone else should get a chance to be Governor, with 35% saying he deserves re-election.  As WHTM points out, Wolf’s numbers are running ahead of former Governor Tom Corbett’s at the same time in his term.  65% of voters at the time said it was time to give a new person a chance to be Governor.

Unlike in the F&M poll, Casey has almost as much ground to make up as Wolf ahead of next year.  46% said that is time to give a new person a chance to be Senator.

While 47% of the respondents were registered as Democrats, the plurality of respondents, 35%, viewed themselves as more independent.

The poll was conducted from September 19th and 26th.  It interviewed 741 registered voters in Pennsylvania, and has a margin of error of 3.4%.

  1. Wolf is laughable, sad day for Democrats the day he brought the election. Mary Obie Sin whoever hired them should be fired. Get your Kleenex out in 2018 Wolf will get his two face ass kicked. When will the authorities stop all the back door money deals of Mary Sin and Obie. Follow the money baby

  2. Politicspa is now a blatant Republican idea-shilling website. That’s the shift that I recognize and it has become very boring and shouting-loud since the young Republican club moved in. Make America grate again!

    1. I agree that Politics PA has a blatant GOP headline and anti-DEM. I served in the military and I am happy that we have free speech but there must be an exchange of ideas. We must find common ground. In the military, we saw Americans, not GOP or DEM.

  3. Well as long as the Ex Director of the party has her fingers in the post, both will lose. Try to get a hold of Senator Casey – no way. You have to go through a Jacky who has no idea what she is doing. Shame, Shame, Shame

  4. Did anyone else notice the subtle shift in the poll questions from Trump to the others? Could it be a GOP effort to make Trump seem better off than he really is? Or was it to denigrate Dems to the level of Trump?
