Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate remained at 5.0% in July. This is the second month is a row the rate has been at 5%.
The rate continues to be above the national, which dropped in July to 4.3%.
Over the last month, the state’s civilian dropped to 6,456,000, decreasing by 18,000. Resident employment decreased by 16,000, and unemployment count dropped 1,000. Eight of the 11 supersectors of employment added jobs over the month.
