The Federal Reserve voted, this past week, to raise prime lending rates by a quarter-percent – with hints that similar actions could be taken as many as three more times, in the next year.

We’ll talk with Rick Applegate, CFP AIFA – Partner, with Cantor Fitzgerald Wealth Partners, in Pittsburgh, and daily contributor to the “Moneytalk” segment of the Newsradio 1020 “KDKA Morning News” broadcast – about the borrowing and savings implications for consumers, and the effect, on the stock market.

Then, we’ll introduce you to a new, Pittsburgh-based,”fintech” investment bank – Capital Foundry – whose goal is to help small and medium-sized businesses improve their capital, grow, and create jobs. Our guests include Capital Foundry’s President & Chief Integration Officer – Tom Donahue (grandson of the founder of Pittsburgh’s Federated Investors) and James Murphy – CEO of EquityNet – recently acquired by Capital Foundry, and one of the world’s first business “crowdfunding” platforms.
