Fitzpatrick Rallies With Local Farmers
Support Fitzpatrick’s efforts to preserve family farms

DUBLIN, Pa.– This morning Mike Fitzpatrick rallied with Bucks County farmers at an event at the Dublin Diner.  The event attended by fifty local farmers highlighted stark contrasts between Fitzpatrick and Murphy on issues affecting family farmers.

The event was hosted by the Farmers for Fitzpatrick Committee, which is headed by Penny Hallowell, Tom Trycieki, Roy Doner and Glenn Wismer.  “Mike Fitzpatrick undertstands the needs of Bucks County farmers,” said Doner, “as a County Commissioner he led the fight to preserve open space and farmland in Bucks County and as our Congressman will make sure that family farms have the tools to survive, including permanently eliminating the death tax.”

“Family farms are the original small businesses,” Fitzpatrick said, “My pro-growth economic policies will allow small businesses and family farms to prosper for generations.  As a member of Congress I will be responsive to the needs and concerns of farmers.”

Dave Wolfinger, a fourth generation dairy farmer expressed his frustration with Congressman Patrick Murphy’s lack of attention to farmers and farming issues.  “Congressman Muprhy has been completely unresponsive to the farming community.  He doesn’t even listen to our concerns.  We need a new Congressman, we need Mike Fitzpatrick.”
