With 423 votes cast, 148 PoliticsPA readers (35 percent) predict that the latest redistricting map won’t pass muster in the Supreme Court due to the a high number of municipality splits.
Another 84 voters, or 20 percent, agreed, but said that the map would fail because it is a partisan gerrymander.
The remaining 45 percent of readers were confident that the map would pass. In fact, the second-place poll answer overall was yes, the map will pass, because “It’s not perfect, but it’s better.” That answer garnered 32 percent of votes with 137.
A small 13 percent said that the map would definitely pass, with 54 readers choosing that option.
