Former Pennsylvania Republican senator Pat Toomey said that he would not be voting for either Donald Trump nor Kamala Harris for president.
Toomey, a Republican who served on the Senate Banking and Finance committees, appeared Tuesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” and told hosts Joe Kernan and Andrew Ross Sorkin that while the outcome is a binary situation, his choice is not.
When asked by Kernan if a vote not for Trump is a vote for Harris, Toomey said, “First of all, I voted for Donald Trump twice in 2016 and 2020 but when you lose an election and you try to overthrow the results, so you can stay in power, you lose me.
“We need Republican control of the Senate and that’s essential,” Toomey continued. “If the other side runs the table, then they will repeal the filibuster and they will be dragged by their left wing, which is clearly in charge now.
“It’s huge tax increases. It’s probably some version of Medicare For All. It might even get to an expansion of the Supreme Court, because there will be no breaks. But the good news is, I think Republicans are going to take the Senate.”
Toomey was critical of Harris and her selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, saying the choice indicated a move left.
“When she was in the Senate, she had the most liberal record in the Senate – to the left of Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) – and she was in favor of banning fracking, lining up perfectly with the far-left wing
“When she had to make a choice for the vice presidential nominee, she could have made a prudent choice, and (Pennsylvania Gov.) Josh Shapiro would have sent a message from governing from the center, significantly improving her chances to win Pennsylvania, and she would not do it. That tells you who is in control. She comes from the left wing of the party and that’s where she will go.”
The former senator also said that Harris is being disingenuous about her position on fracking.
“At the end of the day, she will be beholden to the left wing of the party,” he said. “You can have development of oil and gas without an explicit ban on fracking, and I don’t buy the notion that she’s actually a centrist now. She never has been.”

After 2020 election the GA State Senate had a committee investigate in 2021 check the election for fraud. They found fraud in multiple ways as it was found that the election was thrown to Biden:
1. Mail in ballots were sent from bogus addresses in the state and outside the state, sometimes in mass.
2. The numbers of ballots reported at times could not match people voting
3. Fulton County stopped counting ballots because of a “water pipe issue” and cleared all people out, but per videos a few Democrats stayed behind pulling out hidden ballots and feeding them into the system
4. Many ballots showed just Biden and no others on them
5. A GA southern county clerk showed how the Dominion Voting Machine could change any ballot without being tied to the internet
6. The Dominion Voting Machines, mail in ballots, and additional drop boxes were a decision by the GOV and SoS without Legislature input or approval and per the Constitution the Legislature is required to make and approve all changes
7. Massive drop box stuffing happened (this was later shown in the film 2000mules)
8. Ballots are required per Federal Law to be kept for 22 months but a large amount are missing and were seen to be driven away by trucks
This was given to the GA State Senate President and GOV Kemp but neither took it forward.
There were issues in PA also with the way the 2020 election was run that decided by the GOV but not the Legislature as required. Also mail-in ballots seemed to “appear” from out of state. This threw the election to Biden.
GA has one member of the election board with open eyes and courage to ask questions. It was amazing to watch in May her calmly tear apart their own investigators report that tried to explain away the 3000+ duplicate ballots, almost all for Biden. And the repeat of the same approx number of glitches in the recount. She recommended that since Fulton County has a history of violating the election laws they should be forced to pay for a third party monitor. The other board members agreed to a watered down motion.

He tried to appeal through the Electoral Count Act, which was legal.
The riot disrupted that effort thereby harming him.

Yes, I do because I saw the beginning of the process taking place as a congressman and a senator came forward as required by the Electoral Count Act. The discussion had just begun when the rioters took over and the process was stopped. When control of the Capitol was established after a few hours there was no thought of continuing with the members of the states who wanted to protest. It was a lost opportunity. Do some research about the Electoral Count Act and some history about democrats trying to use the same procedure in Bush v. Gore but they lacked the ability to meet the requirement of having a senator participate.

Take out the Jan 6 “insurrection”–Trump clearly said go to the capitol and “peacefully protest” and what do you have? A president (any politician) has the right to question the validity of the election especially when we all went to bed seeing him in the lead and then waking up to Biden the winner. And seeing key states shut down vote counting for hours, video surveillance turned off during that time, etc. Voters have a right to be sure their vote wasn’t compromised. But these never Trumpers hang their hats on Jan 6 to make their case and that isn’t the issue.
