The Treasurer-Elect has made his choice for Chief of Staff.
Gwen Camp will become Joe Torsella’s top aide when the latter is sworn into office on January 17th.
“Gwen has spent her career serving the people of Pennsylvania and the United States,” Torsella stated. “She stands ready to work with me to bring the highest standards of ethics, accountability and transparency to the Treasury and is committed to finding ways that the Treasury can make a real difference in the lives of Pennsylvanians.”
Camp is currently serving as Senator Bob Casey’s State Director. She also held top posts in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), such as Senior Executive Service as the Director of Individual and Community Preparedness and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs.
She was appointed to both offices by President Barack Obama.

I have known and observed Gwen for over a decade and have watched her progress as a very effective government administrator. I can bet you all that Bob Casey will miss her.
She will compliment Joe Torsella as an adept chief of staff.
Prior service as a congressional staffer led to her positions serving Mr. Casey and at FEMA.
Gwen is not a person who should be critiqued as being political as she has been greatly professional at all of her positions and has a wealth of skills and a persona that will serve the Treasurer well.
PA finally got somebody in The Family to watch over their money.
I want to say congrats to you Gwen Camp is to be the chief of staff for Joe Torsella in 2017.
