Democratic challenger Manan Trivedi raised $433,000 in the third quarter, he told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“We’re really happy with that and it shows serious momentum for us,” Trivedi said Tuesday afternoon. “I’m so honored to have the support of a people-powered campaign.”
He didn’t say his cash on hand, but said his total raised thus far in the cycle is over $1.1 million.
His opponent, Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-Chester), has not yet announced his 3rd quarter fundraising numbers, but raised $341,000 and had $885,000 on hand at the end of the 2nd quarter June 30.
Trivedi was closer to Gerlach in cash on hand than any other Democratic challenger this cycle, but he still has a ways to go before he reaches his $1.4 million total from 2010, when he also ran against Gerlach.
