Trump Jr. Campaigns For Saccone Day Before Special Election

Via Twitter

The Trump administration continued its push to win the special election in the 18th Congressional district by sending Donald Trump Jr. to the district the day before the election to push voters to the polls.

Trump Jr. joined Republican candidate Rick Saccone at Sarris Candies in Canonsburg Monday to tour the facility and encourage President Trump’s base to get out to the polls.

“Just because my father’s not on the ticket, they have to show up and vote,” Trump Jr. said according to the Tribune Review.

The visit comes on the same day a Monmouth University poll was released showing Democratic candidate Conor Lamb leading Saccone by six points.

National Republicans have started to distance themselves slightly from Saccone in case of a loss blaming Saccone’s lack of fundraising and poor campaign organization rather than their efforts or any negative impact from Trump’s policies.

The special election is being held today, with polls closing at 8 p.m. tonight.

  1. did you see that hair net picture! What advance person lets someone do that? Maybe one that says to do a meeting with Russians in Trump Tower? Will bet that pic makes SNL. Hey Sy, please post that picture.

    1. He was also interviewed by a chocolate bunny, and appeared stumped by the rodent’s questions.

  2. Can’t wait to watch Yoko cry on Rick’s shoulder when they lose! Guess they will just have to come back to Harrisburg and fleece the Government for more meals.

  3. So DJTJ is making this a referendum on Trump, even though national Republicans are working overtime trying to spin this as not a referendum on Trump? Well, that’s awkward.
