President Donald Trump put Congressman Lou Barletta (R-Luzerne) on the spot during a shout out during a roundtable discussion on immigration reform.
During introductions, Trump made special mention of Barletta, who was an early supporter of Trump’s run for President. Trump then gave Barletta a special mention.
“So you’re running for Governor, Lou? Look behind you, lou. you can make a big announcement,” Trump said to laughter.
Barletta was urged by Trump earlier this year to run for U.S. Senate next year, and is considering a run.
Trump may have misspoken during the roundtable, Barletta’s adviser John Brabender told Pennlive, saying Governor instead of Senate.
Brabender said that “He is very seriously looking at [a Senate run]. He has not made up his mind yet, but he is extremely interested.”
Barletta was one of the first members of Congress to endorse Trump’s bid for President, and was active in his campaign in Pennsylvania, speaking at many of his events around the state.

“So You’re Running for Governor, Lou? Great. Go get me bucket of KFC if you want my endorsement.”
Trump always mis-speaks, since he cannot speak proper English.
Wait so would Wagner go against the Donald if he wanted Lou to be the governor?
Of course he misspoke. Now the only question is whether Trump knows the difference between Governor and Senator?
Only by the feeling of their lips on his ass.
Yeah? Is that what he looked back and told you when it was your turn, David? Let’s keep the language PG pal.
