Trump To Visit Beaver County Ethane Cracker Plant Tuesday

President Donald Trump is returning to Pennsylvania on Tuesday to tour the Shell Chemical’s ethane cracker plant in Beaver County. The visit was originally set for Aug. 8, but was postponed after the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

According to a release from the White House, Trump will tour the $6 billion plant and deliver remarks promoting his administration’s economic agenda, the Tribune-Review reports.

“Trump’s economic policies have made multibillion-dollar investments such as the $6 billion plant possible,” the White House release said according to the Tribune Review.

Construction of the facility began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2020. The AP reports that there are currently about 5,000 construction workers on the site.

This is Trump’s first appearance in the state since his rally in Montoursville in May when he was boosting Fred Keller’s congressional campaign and touting his administration’s position on tariffs and border security.

Since Trump’s previous visit in PA, Vice President Mike Pence made two stops in south central Pennsylvania promoting the proposed USMCA trade pact.

  1. “Cracker, sometimes white cracker or cracka, is an ethnic slur for white people, used especially for poor rural whites in the Southern United States”

Especially, but not just, the south. Trump probably thinks it’s a plant to manufacture more white nationalists to vote for him.

    1. I believe the term “cracker” actually originated on the plantations. The big white guy in charge of the whip was referred to by slaves as the “cracker” because he cracked the whip.
