State House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) has set the date for the special election to replace state Rep. Dan McNeill (D-Lehigh), who passed away earlier this month at the age of 70.
According to the Morning Call, Turzai filed the required paperwork to hold the special election on December 5th.
The candidates for each party will be selected through their respective processes. The winner of the seat will hold it until the November 2018 elections.

I think for the Republicans are going to win this seat in the special election in 2017.

Another words…everyone knows it won’t be on Election Day which is November 7th., which it should be.
It can’t be by law. No sooner than 60 days.
