Ward Announces for Congress in PA-18

Kim WardState Senator Kim Ward (R-Westmoreland) is announcing her candidacy to replace resigning Congressman Tim Murphy in the upcoming special election.

“With the support of my family and friends, I am announcing my candidacy to represent the hard working people of southwestern Pennsylvania in the United States Congress,” Ward said in a release.

Ward was the first woman to be elected to her state Senate seat in 2008.

The special election to replace Murphy was triggered by his resignation earlier today.  The candidate will be selected by a conferee process set by the bylaws of the PA GOP.

    1. I am thinking about running. We need to expose the TRUTH about what is going on in this country. People need to realize the country was stolen in 1913. Creation of the Fed reserve act.

  1. Yep Kimmee put on your red cowgirl boots and run… if you can get someone to drag you out of the bar!

  2. If the GOP had problems with Murphy’s personal life and outside of politics philandering, Ward will give them all heart attacks. Westmoreland County may look past her being a constant bar fly and her extramarital endeavors, but I seriously doubt a hardcore congressional campaign will.

      1. don’t have to “allege” what many of us in her district have seen with our own two eyes at mountain view inn years ago and more recently at johnnys wife’s place.

        1. Why do you hide behind a Fake Name? Put your name on here if you really are telling the truth. I think your just a sexist pig..

  3. I like Rick Saccone. He has zero chance of winning the GOP primary for Senate…Lou Barletta has that in the bag…but Rick would be an excellent candidate for the 18th District. We need someone to restore integrity to the seat. I hope he runs.

  4. She is not a good choice. What has she done for us? NOTHING!!! She uses her position to get free meals and front for tickets at the Palace Theater. While she is away, her husband has his own private harem.

  5. Rick Saccone would be an excellent candidate he’s very constitutional and conservative

        1. The government is not in place to grant you your rights. God has given you those. The government should do everything in its power to protect your rights. As for Republican / Democrat, it is mainly an illusion today. Left and Right wing of the same bird. This bird has an agenda. Trump is not perfect, but is not out to destroy America. All of these politicians took an oath to uphold and protect the constitution. LETS HOLD THEM TO THAT OATH

  6. Rick Saccone would be a strong candidate. I have met him on several occasions and found him to be a very honorable intelligent and conservative person. he would definitely be a voice for the people.

  7. Rick Saccone, although running for U.S. Senate, is a man of the people, a firm believer in conservative values, and a strong candidate to restore the integrity of PA-18’s office. I hope he runs for Congress instead of Senate.

  8. Kim ward is the best person to run for it. She helps out everyone and does what’s right for the poeple

  9. I won’t be supporting you but i might support someone else like Former Governor Tom Corbett is to run for this seat instead.

        1. If you think someone not in the district has a chance in a conferee process, then you my friend are not genius.

  10. Camera Bartolotta should run. She has the right temperment for DC and without all of the political baggage of a career politician like Ward.

    1. Kim has been in the Senate since 2009.. Not really a career Politician. asshat. How about your boy Reschenthaler who has been in 4 different jobs in last 4 years. lawyer, Magistrate, Senator and now boy-wonder wants to be a Congressman. Talk about a spoiled rich kid.

      1. i think for Former Governor Tom Corbett will most be the most likely successor to congressman tim murphy for congress and maybe down the road and there might be a congresswoman again in pennsylvania delegation.
