The PA Republican Southeast Caucus met last evening in King of Prussia and gave another straw vote win to Dave White.
The businessman from Delaware County received 30 votes from the party faithful while Bill McSwain was second with 20. Jake Corman was the other candidate in double digits with 12, while Guy Ciarrocchi (5), Lou Barletta (4) and Nche Zama (1) also picked up support.
“I can feel our campaign’s momentum growing by the day, and I know we are ready to take on and defeat career politician Josh Shapiro this November,” said White in a statement.
In the straw poll for the open U.S. Senate seat, Jeff Bartos edged Dave McCormick by a 34-27 count. Mehmet Oz received 12 votes, while Kathy Barnette, George Bochetto and Carla Sands had two votes apiece. It is the fourth regional caucus triumph for Bartos out of five who posted individual results. The Northwest caucus opted to only post the top three vote recipients in no order.
“It has been a pleasure to hear from Republican activists in each of the six caucuses over the last few weeks, and I am thrilled to have received such tremendous support from the ground,” said Bartos in a statement.
The non-binding momentum for the candidates comes in advance of this weekend’s State GOP Committee meeting in Lancaster.

Charlie Gerow had 7 votes edging out Ciarrochi, Barrett’s, and Zama. Why would you not report on the people who beat them out?
I see the Dems holing the Gov office and the Republicans holding the US Senate seat, esp if anyone other than Lamb is the Dem nominee.
I THINK FOR THE GOP WILL ENDORSE DAVE WHITE FOR GOVERNOR WITH JEFF COLEMAN FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AND JEFF BARTOS FOR US SENATE.
No endorsements will come out of the state gop caucus this weekend
Teddy gonna smoke all LGs on election day
How about someone paying attention here: Gov closed White Haven Center putting seriously disabled people on the streets.
Today taxpayers learned the Job Corps site in Drums, Luzerne County will place Afghan refugees there. So far a local news blackout.
If these candidates dont start making noise, we may as well not vote at all.
