Harrisburg, PA – Tonight, Republican Congressional candidate Pat Meehan will attend a Tea Party meeting in Phoenixville. The meeting comes just three days after he abruptly canceled a closed door, “off the record” meeting with another Tea Party group once the event became known to the public.

“It’s clear that Pat Meehan needs to win the support of the Tea Party to win his race, so what will Pat Meehan say to the Tea Party to attempt to win their votes?” said Mark Nicastre, spokesman with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Will Pat Meehan endorse the extreme Tea Party platform of privatizing Social Security, ending Medicare, abolishing the Department of Education and repealing Wall Street reform?”
