With momentum growing for Callahan and the Democratic Ticket, supporters from all across the Lehigh Valley turnout for Major Rally

BETHLEHEM, P.A. – Today President Bill Clinton headlined a rally to support Mayor John Callahan’s campaign for Congress in the Lehigh Valley at Northampton Community College. Approximately 4,000 supporters from all over the Valley turned out to hear President Clinton speak at this rally to kickoff the Callahan Campaign’s final “Get Out the Vote” effort.

This weekend, thousands of grassroots supporters will execute a major outreach program to speak with tens of thousands of voters as they work to deliver a victory for Mayor Callahan and the Democratic ticket.

“President Bill Clinton turned budget deficits into surpluses and I can’t think of a better way to kick off our final Get Out the Vote weekend than by holding a rally with him and over 4,000 supporters from the Lehigh Valley,” said Mayor John Callahan. “The momentum in this election has shifted in our favor and our grassroots movement will come out on top. There is a clear choice in this election and I am confident that voters from around the Lehigh Valley will hold Congressman Dent accountable for his record of supporting the failed Bush agenda that caused the recession. I’ll put my record of helping businesses create over 5,000 jobs in the Valley while cutting $60 million in debt against Congressman Dent’s record of Wall Street bailouts and $3 trillion in new debt any day.”
