Wolf Campaign Pushes Victories in Digital Ads Ahead of 2018

Governor Tom Wolf’s campaign has started releasing a series of videos touting his successes during his first term to his supporters ahead of his re-election push in 2018.  The videos have been pushed through Facebook and emails to supporters.

The first video focused on a married couple, Phyllis and John, and their battle with John’s Alzheimer’s.  The video focuses on the benefits they received through the Medicaid expansion Wolf accepted that the campaign says opened health insurance to 715,000 Pennsylvanians.

The second video touts Wolf’s role in keeping Majestic’s manufacturing facility in Easton.  Majestic is the manufacturer that provides the jerseys for all 30 Major League Baseball teams.  The video uses interviews with employees of the plant to discuss how the area would have been affected if Majestic moved the jobs to a different state, and the role Wolf played in negotiating in the process of the company being sold to Fanatics-Inc, but keeping the plant and its 500 jobs in Easton.

The videos are the first two in what will likely grow to a series of videos over the coming months as the 2018 primary approaches.  While Wolf will not likely face a primary challenger, these ads push a positive message about his tenure as Governor, while firing up his base by reminding them he is enacting programs they support.

  1. there is nothing memorable about these ads. nice try on two good subjects but they put you to sleep. boring

  2. I am opposed to expansion of Medicaid because under the unaffordable government Healthcare Act or Obama don’t care it places a tax on all Insurance plans so people can not afford Health insurance ,like myself, I no longer could afford health insurance because it got to expensive ! Plus expansion of medicaid is for the working poor who are not allowed to work more than 29 hours a week because of “Obama don’t care ” mandate ! Gov Wolf is the worst Governor we ever had !!!!!!!!!!

  3. The Medicaid expansion was such a no-brainer, it was really unconscionable that Gov. Corbett refused it. Especially with the growing opioid epidemic, it was outrageous. Gov. Wolf is more “pro-life” than any of those knuckleheads who are fine with people dying in the streets rather than ensuring everyone has access to health care.
