Wolf Joins Eight Governor Plan to Save the ACA

Governor Tom Wolf is signing onto a plan with seven other Governors to stabilize the Affordable Care Act.

“We must protect the gains we have made in Pennsylvania and many other states, but we all recognize that there are common sense changes that can make the cost of care less expensive and more accessible,” Wolf said, according to the Daily Item.

The plan is calls for the Federal government to institute reforms to the ACA to ensure there are not losses in coverage, and to lower costs.  Part of that would be done through a partnership between the the federal and state governments to continue to improve the healthcare market and help push innovation.

“Instead of working to destabilize the health insurance system, Congress should work with governors to improve the system for all Americans,” Wolf said.

The eight Governors include five Democrats, Wolf, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, Virginia Governor Terry McAullife, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards and Montana Governor Steve Bullock, two Republicans, Ohio Governor John Kasich and Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, and Alaska Governor Bill Walker who is the lone Independent.

  1. Trying to save the ACA is like trying to save the Titanic… no matter what you try, that ship is going to sink. Best to abandon ship and go back to the drawing board.

  2. It’s the Republican legislature that can’t decide how to raise revenues. Please pay attention and finish your sentences, “Hillary.”
