Governor Tom Wolf is leading Republicans Laura Ellsworth, Paul Mango, and Scott Wagner in cash on hand after the first quarter of 2018.

Wolf ended the first quarter with $14.7 million on hand, while Wagner was the closest Republican with $6.2 million on hand.  Mango reported $3.3 million on hand and Ellsworth ended with $434,000 on hand.

The first quarter also saw Wolf raise more money than any of the Republicans in the race, raising $4.9 million, $2.2 million more than the closest Republican.  Wagner raised $2.7 million, Mango raised $572,000, and Ellsworth raised $368,000.

According to the Associated Press almost half of Wolf’s contributions came from labor unions, and $250,000 from each the Democratic Governors Association and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee.  

Most of Wagner’s campaign contributions came from himself, including $836,000 donated by himself and $1.6 million in returns from campaign investments.  Wagner also gave $320,000 of in-kind contributions to his campaign.

Mango raised most of his money through $275,000 in donations from himself and a $200,000 loan from Patrick Hampson that was converted into a contribution.  

Ellsworth, Mango, and Wagner will face each other in the May 15th primary, while Wolf does not have a primary opponent.
