Wolf Pushes Deadline to Withdraw From Primary Election

After Wednesday’s snow storm closed the state Capitol Complex, Governor Tom Wolf pushed the deadline for candidates to withdraw from the primary election ballot.

Wolf signed the executive order Thursday extending the deadline by one day for each business day the offices of the Secretary of the Commonwealth or the county board of elections was closed due to weather but not extending past Friday March 23rd by 5:00 p.m.

The order does not apply to Congressional candidates, who because of the state Supreme Court ordered redraw have a deadline of Tuesday March 27th by 5:00 p.m.
