Wolf Puts Support behind Slate of Candidates for Pa. Dems Leadership

Governor Tom Wolf sent an email to Democratic State Party members putting his support behind Jack Hanna for Chair, Nancy Patton Mills for Vice Chair, and Lisa Rhodes for Treasurer.

The email, sent Thursday night, asks party members to support the three candidates.

“State Party Treasurer Jack Hanna to serve as chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, Allegheny County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Nancy Patton Mills as vice chair, and our party’s Black Caucus Chairwoman Lisa Rhodes as treasurer,” Wolf wrote in the email.

The three would serve in the positions until the party’s reorganization meeting meeting in June.

Hanna has been a party member since 1994, and has been the party’s treasurer since 2013.  Along with her duties as Allegheny County Chairwoman Patton Mills serves on the Democratic National Committee and the Pennsylvania Commission for Women.  Rhodes is also the executive director of Women’s Christian Alliance, the oldest African American foster care and adoption agency in the country.

Wolf also asked the party members to approve a “new, comprehensive sexual assault and misconduct policy to ensure that every state committee member and every person that comes in contact with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party feels heard, welcome, and safe.”

Wolf has been consistent in his positions on lawmakers on both sides of the aisle accused of sexual harassment, calling for them to resign when the allegations came to light.

  1. Tom Wolf is a Loser and The Party should not support the People that Wolf wants . This is not a Dictatorship .

  2. Cole was at the meeting acting like a big shot that he isn’t. Will he will he not be allowed to run for State Committee? He was kicked off the Susquehanna Township School Board for sexual assaulting students. Any thoughts about what will happen?

  3. So I’m assuming ex Sesquhanna twp school board member Cole Goodman will be resigning as a result of the new misconduct policy, right?
