11/14 Morning Buzz

Good morning politicos, and welcome to the Buzz. Penn State and the victims of the sex abuse scandal desperately seek closure; the super committee works toward a deal; and lawmakers in Harrisburg get back to work.

Corbett’s Sunday Rounds: The Penn State sex abuse scandal dominated the news this weekend, and a somber Governor Tom Corbett made the rounds of the national Sunday talk shows.

Conservatives Target 3 GOPers: Pa. Reps. Jim Marshall, Ron Miller and Bernie O’Neill can look forward to some less than cheerful television ads this holiday season. Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania (CAP) will target the three lawmakers in a television and radio ad campaign through Christmas.

SEIU-PA Backs DiGirolamo: The SEIU Pennsylvania State Council is backing an proposal by Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks) that would assess a 4.7 percent tax on Marcellus shale gas drilling, with 44 percent of revenue directed to state programs.

11/11 Ups & Downs: Where do we start? Penn State’s darkest hour, interesting elections across the state, and more in Friday’s Ups & Downs.
