Joe Sestak Hosts 30 Days Rally in Philadelphia
Mayor Michael Nutter at Independence Mall Encourages Voters to get to the Polls
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Today, with a month until Pennsylvanians choose their next U.S. Senator, Admiral Joe Sestak told supporters gathered in Philadelphia that he is counting on their enthusiasm and the energy of thousands of volunteers across the Commonwealth to ensure victory on November 2.
Joined by Mayor Michael Nutter, Joe continued his campaign of offering practical solutions to solve challenges facing the city, the Commonwealth and the country: a troubled economy that hurts small businesses, rampant unemployment and a neglected public school system. Mayor Nutter emphasized that Pennsylvania needs a leader that puts the hardworking many over the wealthiest few if progress is to be made.
“This is an important election,” said Mayor Nutter. “This is about democracy. This is about getting things done. Joe Sestak has dedicated his life to public service. He is a man who knows how to get things done.”
“This is the final push; the championship round,” said Joe. “The time to make a difference is now. We need everyone to get involved, make phone calls, commit to vote and reach out to their neighbors to explain what’s at stake in this election. Now is not the time for partisan politics and ideological battles. We are in challenging times and we need to do what it takes to fix it- I’ll work with anyone and take any good idea to get it done.”
