3/3 Ups & Downs

The Senate race gets its first official candidate, the Philadelphia Community shows its strength, and Business Insider gets it wrong. See who made this week’s Ups & Downs!

Up-Arrow4-2

Rick Saccone.  State Rep. Rick Saccone officially kicked off his campaign for Senate in the Capitol Rotunda.  He is the first candidate to officially kick off their campaign against Senator Bob Casey.

Down Arrow Philadelphia Democratic Party.  After state Rep. Leslie Acosta had to resign after pleading guilty to federal felony charges, the Party’s nominee for the special election was kicked off the ballot, and the party is looking at the possibility of not having a candidate on the ballot at all.

Up-Arrow4-2

Philadelphia Community.  After recent acts of vandalism at Jewish cemeteries in the city, the community has come together to fix the damage, showing the strength of the city.

Down Arrow Stan Saylor.  Earlier this week Appropriations Chair Stan Saylor (R-York) ended a line of questioning by Rep. Leanne Krueger-Braneky (D-Delaware) about the possible repeal of the ACA saying the House would not consider anything until a law was passed.  This runs contrary to what Saylor was doing in 2010, prior to the passage of the ACA.

Down Arrow

DEP.  The Department of Environmental Protection was given an ‘F’ rating from a group national non-profits for the levels of lead in Pennsylvania’s drinking water

Down Arrow

Business Insider.  They officially crossed over into biased reporting when they gave Wawa the top prize over the far superior Sheetz.

  1. Who else remembers the Turnpike “macing” criminal convictions from the boys of La Familia in Greensburg?

  2. A big thank you to Stan Snyder from the residents of Pennsylvania, a state with one of the oldest average age populations, for your Trump/US Senate style censorship.

  3. Sideways arrow to FORMER turdpike chairman Logan. Yep, La familia had to move him to the gambling commission because his big mouth was drawing attention from snoops and could have conflicted with our bond business. He should be okay on the gambling board since we own that too. It might take awhile but little Fredo is going to learn the casino business.
