WaPo Names PoliticsPA State’s Best Political Blog: Thank you to our readers! For the second time in a row, The Washington Post has named PoliticsPA Pennsylvania’s best political blog.

PA Recognized for Biz Development: Tom Corbett finished third in the race for the “Governor’s Cup.” Pennsylvania finished behind only Texas and Ohio for its number of business development projects in 2012.

Everyone Now Running for Pittsburgh Mayor, Except Dan Onorato: Candidates have flooded into the Pittsburgh mayoral primary since Mayor Luke Ravenstahl’s decision to exit the race last week. Here’s the latest on each of the prospective candidates.

Dems Pounce on Corbett Gifts Story: The Pa. Democratic Party filed an ethics complaint against Tom Corbett Tuesday, a few hours after the Philadelphia Daily News published a story about the Governor’s $11,343 in gifts from businessmen and lobbyists.

Schoen Poll: 88% of Pa Voters Support Background Checks: A survey conducted by Democratic pollster Douglas Schoen for the gun control advocacy group Mayors Against Illegal Guns found that 88% of Pa. voters support requiring background checks for all firearms purchases.
