Legislative Elections Update:
HD-99: Democrat Brian Sanguinito received the endorsements of PSEA, APSCUF and the Stonewall Democrats. This seat has been held by Rep. Gordon Denlinger since 2003, but he is retiring to seek a seat in the Pennsylvania Senate. The 99th District includes Caernarvon, Earl, East Earl, Ephrata and Salisbury townships, and Akron, Ephrata, New Holland and Terre Hill boroughs.
HD-164: The Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 and the Philadelphia Tribune endorsed Margo Davidson for reelection to her Delaware County seat. She faces Dafan Zhang and Billy Smith in the Democratic primary.
Smith scored robocalls in his support from Planned Parenthood and Philadelphia DA Seth Williams. The Williams call includes the following quote, “Through my years as a prosecutor, I’ve worked with many people, but few have the integrity and competence of Billy Smith. Billy will work hard to support President Obama’s agenda and against Tom Corbett; Margo Davidson has not.”
