Generl Electric plant in Erie laying off another 190 union workers making the total 1,700+ since January as they prepare to close the Erie plant and move all production to Texas and India. This will end their union workforce and move all production to the “right to work state” of Texas and $10 a day wage slaves of India. Thereby ensuring millions more in profit for the megalithic corporate monster. Meanwhile the Erie plant is a gigantic brownfield site, an ecologic disaster that would cost billion to remediate. But they won’t spend a penny they’ll just shutter the plant and pay the propert taxes which will be a lot cheaper than cleaning up this toxic waste dump.
