Dem Summer State Committee Preview: This weekend is the one Democratic operatives and activists from across PA have been waiting for.

Corbett Forces Out DCNR Secretary: Tom Corbett pushed DCNR Sec. Richard Allan to resign Thursday. Reports indicate Allan was booted after using a racial epithet for African Americans in an email.

Koplinski for LG Scores 100+ Endorsements: The first endorsements in the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor are in. Harrisburg City Councilman Brad Koplinski rolled out a list of more than 100 supporters Thursday.

AP: Corbett Makes Choice for Supreme Court Vacancy: Governor Tom Corbett will appoint President Judge Correale Stevens to the Supreme Court of PA.

Dent on Abortion Bill Timing: “The Stupidity is Simply Staggering”: Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Lehigh) slammed his colleagues for bringing a controversial abortion bill to the House floor instead of focusing on the economy.

Harper Poll: PA Supports Immigration Reform: A new poll, commissioned by reform advocates and slanted in their favor, shows nearly two-thirds of PA voters support the current Senate bill.

Castor’s New Gig: Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce L. Castor Jr. has served as district attorney and considered running for governor. Next month, he will become a partner at the Bryn Mawr law firm Rogers & Associates.
