7/26 Morning Buzz

Rep. Glenn Thompson pushed an amendment on the House floor that would have protected American jobs by ensuring that the light bulbs used in the Capitol complex were made by American workers. Democrats claim Thompson is not interested in American workers but, he is interested, like his party, in being less energy efficient.

Before the President’s address last night, the DCCC released an ad in competitive congressional districts including five in Pa., that claim that GOP Representatives are “Playing Games With The Debt Ceiling”.

You may remember right after the state budget was passed PoliticsPA wrote a story about how Amazon.com was expanding its Lehigh Valley facility. The Morning Call reported this past weekend that communication errors have marred the process of hiring those new employees.

At the end of last week, Rep. Turzai and Senate Pro Tempore Scarnati both went public with differing views on how to reform the Liquor Control Board. Turzai would like to see the industry privatized but, Scarnati favors giving the state run operation more flexibility to run like a business while still under the umbrella of the Commonwealth.

  1. I impressed, I ought to say. Actually hardly ever do I encounter a blog that each educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you’ve got got hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the difficulty is something that not enough men and women are talking intelligently about. I’m very glad that I stumbled across this in my search for something regarding this.
